“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?” Romans 8:32
Selling our home and its contents has been a real test of what I love most. Certainly, before I had to go through this process, I would have claimed that I love Christ more, but now that it is being required of me, I have found myself to be much like the man tossed to and fro........sometimes resilient and purposeful and other times doubting and resentful. Paul's words ring in my spirit. “Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7.
Realistically, I am only giving back to God what is rightfully His. If He purchased me with everything He has then surely, everything I have is His! Somehow, giving back to God what is rightfully His makes it much easier. “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything; you may have an abundance for every good deed.” 2 Corinthians 9:8.
